An insight to Tamil Weddings
A Tamil wedding, also known as Kalyanam, is a traditional wedding ceremony originating from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Tamil weddings are rich in culture and have various customs and rituals that are followed before, during, and after the wedding ceremony.
The wedding preparations start with the Panda Kaal Muhurtham, which is a traditional ceremony performed to seek blessings from the gods and ancestors. The bride and groom then exchange horoscopes to ensure that their stars align.
The wedding ceremony itself is typically held in a temple or at the bride's house. The groom arrives with his family and friends, and the bride's family welcomes them with Aarti and garlands. The couple then exchange flower garlands, signifying their acceptance of each other.
One of the most important rituals of a Tamil wedding is the tying of the sacred thread, known as the mangalsutra. This thread symbolizes the bond between the bride and groom and is tied by the groom around the bride's neck.
Other rituals during the wedding include the exchange of wedding rings, the tying of the thali (a sacred yellow thread) around the bride's neck, and the showering of rice on the couple as a symbol of prosperity.
The wedding ceremony is followed by a feast, which is traditionally served on banana leaves and includes a variety of vegetarian dishes. The celebrations continue with music, dancing, and other cultural performances.

When we first began in wedding photography, we sent out the photographs on CDs and DVDs, which later evolved into USB devices.
These mediums are no longer supported by some computers, and as there is no telling what the future holds. We believe the best medium is a wedding album.
A tangible book that you can feel, touch, smell and you can pass down from one generation to the next. Future proof your story!

We don't count!
You'll get all the photographs we've captured except the ones that didn't meet our standards.
All these photos will be manually reviewed and processed individually.
All of the images will be print ready.
Contrast, sharpness, colour tones, cropping are done individually. All images that go to print in your album, canvas prints or any other print order are further edited for blemishes.
We do not believe in extreme Photo-shopping/re-touching of your images.
We work hard to make sure proper lighting and exposure are created in-camera, so your images reflect the most flattering light and angle possible.
